LED Up-Lighting used in the Grand Ballroom of The Roker Hotel Sunderland. Using very little power and running totally cool so safe to touch the lights can be programmed to any of 255 colours and shades or set to rotate through the spectrum. This room had 17 units installed to fully surround the room. Normally it is illuminated by overhead chandeliers of white light. Which is the more romantic?

David Wilkinson. Black Knight Disco
Fees are based on a venue I can reach in 30 mins. Venues further away incur a travelling charge.
The first question I am always asked is “How much do you charge?
This is not a simple question to answer as I do not know your requirements. All discos play music and have a Dj, but the standard of the Dj and equipment can vary incredibly. I am a very experienced Dj and have spent considerable sums on professional equipment to attain the best sound quality I can and give a lighting display that compliments a venue.
Everyone seems to know a “Dj” so it is important that when choosing an entertainer for your party or wedding that you check out what you are being offered for the price quoted. I have been a Dj all my life. Starting in 1970 and that gives me a wealth of experience. Now I use a computer rather than turntables and carry 69,000 music tracks and 25,000 Karaoke tracks.
I choose the equipment dependent on the size of room and the number of people attending. A small intimate party requires less that a large hotel and 200 guests. The photograph above was taken at a cricket club with 50 guests for a graduation party. The dress requirement was formal.
This larger system was for Durham Castle with 200 guests. It used all lighting from the small disco, had a star screen, up-lighting in the windows, 4 more effect lights, 2 projectors to project the couples names and essentially the large sound system. Obviously this system costs more to hire. All equipment is shown and explained on my equipment page.
While every disco is different you may use this guide to understand what you will be charged. Max 50 people in pub or Cricket/Rugby club from 7:30 to 11:30  on a Saturday night £175 Extra Time £25 per half Hour. (My services, disco mixer/music and compact speaker system. 3 effect lights and background LED flood lighting. Just right for the number of people attending) Add the following for larger venues or more people. Larger professional sound system + £50 Up-Lighting often called Mood lighting 4 units + £25 8 Units +£50. 16 units for all round room + £100 Star Screen (2 X 3 Metre) + £50 Laser effect + £10 Smoke/haze machine + £5 Name or star projectors + £25 UV lighting, Mirror balls, karaoke are available please ask for prices.
